The Australian and Victorian Governments continue to partner with local governments across Victoria to get high-priority community infrastructure off the ground, with the Lexton Community Hub complete and officially open.

The $3.8 million newly-built facility includes a multi-purpose function space with commercial kitchen, an outdoor play area, informal childcare and playgroups, and upgraded sporting facilities and change rooms to meet the needs of a range of clubs.

The hub’s new amenities meet community expectations for modern sporting facility standards and will be a lasting asset to the region.

The Lexton Community Hub was completed in 2023, with the official opening today. It provided 500 jobs during construction.

Financial contributions came from the Australian Government ($1.85 million), the Victorian Government ($820,000), the Lexton Recreation Reserve Committee of Management ($160,000) and the Pyrenees Shire Council ($1.03 million).
